Finding a way to unite creativity and implementability is a challenge we gladly accept. And what could be more apt than artists who set less store in feasibility and reality than they do in their visions?
David Renggli wanted to create an area in which to experience Keller AG Ziegeleien: various aspects should enable the beholder to gain different impressions. Interplay with light during the day and a camp fire at night were central to the concept.
David Renggli, born 1974 in Zurich, can today look back on close to 30 exhibitions; he is one of Switzerland’s most successful artists.
Kerim Seiler’s vision was to build a tower vaguely reminiscent of the sculptures of Rapa Nui – a tower consisting of square blocks. These building components, these boxes, were to be constructed with an increasing stagger towards the top – to intensify the interplay with light.
Kerim Seiler was born in Bern in 1974 and today lives and works in Zurich. He, too, has already featured in around 30 exhibitions, 6 of which were dedicated to his work alone.
